They can support learning, reduce illness, and help decrease absences and disciplinary issues.<\/p>\n<p>Our school policy requires that meals be paid for in advance or on the day they are received unless the student qualifies for free meal benefits. It is the responsibility of the parent, guardian, or student to monitor cafeteria account balances.<\/p>\n<p>Families must submit a new free or reduced meal application each school year as part of the annual paperwork. Online applications are available at <a href=\"https:\/\/boldcityed.org\/ar\/\">www.boldcityed.org<\/a>, and paper applications can be picked up at any school and submitted in person to the enrollment team.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are accepted at any time during the school year.<br \/>For students who have negative balances, Bold City Education schools will follow the steps below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Negative Balance Resultant Action &#8211; Students with a Meal Balance of (-$15.00)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Day 1 &#8211; Student receives and is charged regular lunch; contact parent\/guardian via email.<\/p>\n<p>Day 2 &#8211; Student receives and is charged an alternate lunch; contact parent\/guardian via phone call, email, and other means of school communication.<\/p>\n<p>Day 3 &#8211; Student receives and is charged an alternate until funds are deposited into SLA lunch account.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reminders:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul> \t\n<li>Students approved for free meals cannot be denied a meal.<\/li>\n\n<li>For PAID students who have $20.00 or more balance after three (3) attempts to collect or have a consequence for negative balances will be in alert.<\/li>\n\n<li>School lunch accounts can be managed through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schoolpaymentportal.com\/Login.aspx\">Lunch Time Online Portal<\/a><\/li>\n\n<li>Students who have consequences for negative balance will not be eligible to participate in school field trips and senior privileges.<\/li>\n\n<li>The Policy will be distributed to all households.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Bold City Education administrative team will inform all parents\/guardians regarding his\/her student&#8217;s negative balances and remind them to replenish student&#8217;s accounts. The form will expire one year from the date the parent\/guardian signed Part 1.<\/li>\n\n<li>If a student has a food allergy or medical disability, then all parts of the form require completion. Only a licensed medical professional can complete Parts 2 and 3.
