ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<\/b><\/p>\n

  • \n
      \n
    • Coordinate and monitor the curricular program of the school to maximize student learning; conduct staff meetings as needed to meet student instructional needs and adhere to Standards established by FLDOE.<\/li>\n
    • Lead school advisory council activities and execute improvement plans.<\/li>\n
    • Manage utilization of school facilities and ensure proper security, maintenance and cleanliness of school grounds.<\/li>\n
    • Be responsible for timely and accurate submission of all required school records\/reports into the district database.<\/li>\n
    • Participate in professional development activities and encourage the professional development of staff including training to accurately report FTE participation, student performance, school safety, and discipline data.<\/li>\n
    • Be responsible for effective business management operations, the development of a school budget and efficient cost accounting.<\/li>\n
    • Be responsible for effectively implementing school\/district personnel procedures including: interviewing, hiring, evaluating staff.<\/li>\n
    • Coordinate supervision of extra-curricular activities and related duties.<\/li>\n
    • Provide a safe learning environment through preparation and implementation of emergency evacuation plans, fire drills, etc.<\/li>\n
    • Implement programs designed to meet the needs of special student populations (Ex. ESE, Title I, 504s, Drop Out Prevention, etc.).<\/li>\n
    • Be responsible for proper receipt and accounting of all school board property and maintaining an accurate property inventory.<\/li>\n
    • Provide for the purchase of appropriate textbooks, equipment and other instructional materials necessary to meet the needs of the students.<\/li>\n
    • Oversee performance of all personnel employed at the school site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Lead implementation of the district\/state assessments designed and adopted to measure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • Has the ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2-year time span.<\/li>\n
        • Has the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.<\/li>\n
        • Possesses problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.<\/li>\n
        • Collaborates to establish and manage the school’s budgets and resources, including negotiating variances and related reporting.\u00a0<\/li>\n
        • Possesses strong customer and student orientation.<\/li>\n
        • Possesses excellent communication skills: Oral (including presentations), Written, Interpersonal (active listening), Negotiating and Influencing.<\/li>\n

          • Assists the principal in the design and implementation of educational programs that meet the needs of the school.\u00a0<\/li>\n
          • Coordinate with principals and headquarters staff to assist in defining and enforcing school policies and guidelines for students, staff, and faculty.\u00a0<\/li>\n
          • Assists the principal in facilitating services for all students in the school.\u00a0<\/li>\n
          • Participates in school-level activities to design educational philosophy and goals which maximize student growth and potential.\u00a0<\/li>\n
          • Assists the principal in conducting an on-going assessment of the educational program in the assigned school, including the strengths and areas in need of improvement; the analysis of test results, attendance records, discipline reports; feedback from students, staff, administrators and parents; and other formal and informal data.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n
          • Assists the principal in conducting interviews with potential staff members when needed.\u00a0<\/li>\n
          • Assists the principal in utilizing the resources of the school and community to enhance the educational program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
