Submitting a Request
A public records request does not have to be submitted in writing or through a specific form. You are not required to provide identification, give your name, or explain why you are requesting the records.
To help us locate the correct records, please describe the requested records as specifically as possible. Helpful information may include:
- The type or subject of the records;
- The applicable school, department, program, employee, or event;
- The approximate date or date range;
- Whether you wish to inspect the records or receive copies; and
- Your preferred format for receiving copies.
Bold City Education will acknowledge requests promptly and respond in good faith in accordance with Chapter 119, Florida Statutes. Some records or portions of records may be confidential or exempt from disclosure and will be withheld or redacted as required by law.
Fees may apply as permitted by Florida law. If a request requires extensive staff assistance, information-technology resources, or a substantial volume of copies, we will provide a cost estimate before completing the request.
Email Notice: Under Florida law, email addresses are public records. If you do not want your email address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this organization. Instead, contact the Custodian of Public Records by telephone, mail, or in person.
Our organization adheres to the guidelines and restrictions in federal FERPA law, and will not release student records or information to unauthorized individuals. For more information about FERPA, please refer to the US Department of Education's website, which can be accessed here: Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Only authorized individuals or institutions should submit this form, as attempting to access student records without authorization to do so is a violation of federal law.
